Peter Nygaard is a Finnish and Canadian fashion director. Nygard International, a Winnipeg-based women`s fashion company, was founded by him in 1967. After the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided his company`s New York offices in 2020, Nygard was charged with sex trafficking, rape and extortion. Later that year, he was charged with sex trafficking and extortion, and alleged that sex trafficking involved children, and he was jailed.
